Our Dances
Balboa
Balboa is a close hold swing dance that evolved on the crowded dance floors of the Balboa peninsula in California in the early 20th century. Balboa is an incredibly useful dance because it works at a wide range of tempos (anything from 150-300bpm), and suits most swing music. If you want to learn more about it, Swungover is the best Balboa resource in the whole wide web.

Slow Balboa
Slow Balboa is Balboa's cool, mysterious cousin. The connection is the same as Balboa, but it uses triple steps in place of some slow steps and lots of counter-body movement to enjoy slower music. It works well between 60 and 110bpm.
